Where does the time go?
Before the iPad…
…and the Android (was big).
Before Google+.
Before Obama was president.
Even before Justin Bieber.
Makes 3 years seem more like 10 or 15!
Today I’d like to reflect a little bit, express some gratitude, and share an important change for subscribers.
Turning 3 – Changes for Subscribers
Statistics are boring for many, and unimpressive for others. MarketingProfessor.com turns 3 today, and here are a few stats I thought interesting.
In 3 Years:
- 320 Published Posts, spanning 12 categories.
- 1280 Hours writing (estimated).
- This domain has had 3 different hosting companies (ugh).
- Hundreds of thousands of visitors, like you.
- Visitors from 197 countries.
- The site has been profitable every month since January 2009.
We are grateful to many of you who have been here any part of this period. It has been quite a ride, THANK YOU!
Something new, however, is upon us.
Changes for Subscribers
Today I’m pleased announce some changes around here. Not on this site per se, rather for those who join the site, subscribing to our free newsletter.
Soon all optin forms will be removed from this site. No, email marketing is not being abandoned here, quite the opposite.
Yes, you’ll still get the Marketers FAQ reports in its current form where you’ll discover the questions (and answers) I had when starting marketing online, as well as the questions I should have asked. You’ll see a forms near the upper right of this page, you may have even had a popup message soon after arriving here inviting you to sign up.
More than the reports, I’ll be sharing more of my journey, my motivations and lifestyle. What I’m doing to make money on the Internet, what has worked, and what hasn’t…along with some of the free and paid services I use and why. All done through email.
I should also inform you that soon all optin forms will be removed from this site. Some say it’s crazy. No, email marketing is not being abandoned here, quite the opposite. More on this later.
Here’s the thing, business online isn’t about algorithms, design, traffic, Google+, or Facebook. Business always has been and always will be about relationships. In the digital age, social media is great, but email is the best medium I know of to get to know you and build relationships. Something I’ve known for some time, and today I’m taking it to the next level.
This is our new approach. It’s the evolution of this site, and subscribers get to participate and watch it unfold first hand. Here’s hoping you’ll join us.

Hi, my name is Travis Campbell, I operate this site. One way I can extend what I've learned marketing online over the years is by writing about it here... and helping you along the way.
