Give yourself a deadline, then follow it! I respect caution, but don't let a question for perfection kill you (see response to Jack below).

Jack-

I like you already! :-)

I believe that if we don't remain humble in our efforts we cannot learn from failure. Thanks for taking the time to be specific in your feedback. As you can see I am a work in progress. I promise I won't be perfect. However, I don't want you to be perfect either :-). Aspiring to be perfect in our craft is noble, however it often leads to procrastination, then paralysis.

Apparently I modeled that (not perfect) in some way, as you so astutely pointed out (for which I am grateful).

I have it in the queue to update the Marketers FAQ in the new year with these and other changes.

Don't be a stranger!

-Travis
PS: My apologies for the delay
in my response here. Working on
that too :-)

Hi Travis,
Just noticed an error on page 13.
One more thing on failure. I would be lying if I said I enjoy it. I do not, and you probably don't either. However, it is a natural part of life, unavoidable. Take heart, what great thing has been done in the human race that was not first predicated on failure? Consider many inventions that were proceeded by failure. Last sentence: Shouldn't it be preceded instead of proceeded ?.precede [pri s?d]
(3rd person present singular precedes, present participle preceding, past and past participle preceded)
vt
1. come or go before something: to come, go, be, or happen before somebody or something else in time, position, or importance
2. introduce something with something: to say or do something before something else
[14th century. Via French < Latin praecedere 'go before' < cedere 'give way']precede or proceed? Do not confuse the spelling of precede and proceed, which sound similar. The verb precede has the prefix pre- ('before') and means 'come or go before': March precedes April. The verb proceed has the prefix pro- ('forward') and means 'begin or continue with an action' or 'progress': She proceeded to explain what had gone wrong.
Juan-

Glad to have you on board. I responded to this but for whatever reason, it looks like it didn't make it here. Glad you found value in the reports offered freely here to new subscribers. There is a lot to "online marketing" but most need to focus on a few key areas to get results. Why not use me to test and tell you what works and what doesn't, right?

As to your interest, I personally respond to and prioritize all request made on the service page, http://www.marketingprofessor.com/services/
Fill out the consulting form there, and I'll be in touch.

Thanks again, and welcome.

Hi Travis,
Greetings from Michigan, I honestly can not tell you how your Marketing ideas and implementations work compared to many others that have Internet presence, but what I can tell you is that destine leaded me to your video presentation on your tube.

I do not know any thing about Online Marketing, never tried before, after watching your video and subscribed to your web site, reading your Marketing Professor reports, I quickly learned that you are a true professional in your field.

I think that one of the many specific points and advice on your report is to learn to be patient, taking time to read and comprehend the process of techniques implementation, your expert advice, will lead me to realize positive results developing my present and future plans.I need to take advantage of your professional experience, and learn from your business frustrations as well.

What is my point?, simple, I need you help, advice and guidance, will like to know if I can contact you directly so I can make you aware of my Internet Presence Plans, and learn if you can help me to implement them.

You are my first contact on this subject, hope there will be no need to seek other resources.
Regards,

LaNita. I feel your pain and concern.

The reality is most domains that are purchased are never hosted, and most domains that are hosted, have very little traffic. Most website owners don't understand what it takes to get traffic. Web hosts count on "little traffic" sites for revenue, if they aren't being used they are more profitable than if they are.

My recommendation: go with a known hosting company (like the one found here), that will allow you to upgrade services as you get more traffic to the site. Most sites can be started with entry level hosting plans.

Hope this is helpful. If not, ask away.

I'm probably an intermediate with computer knowledge but ignorant about Internet Marketing. It is confusing when trying to set up a website as to the charges and abilities of the pro-offered site. Can you make any suggestions as to how to go about looking at web hosting sites? What kind of questions should I be asking? I feel like I'm getting half the information when looking and only after finding out that there are more charges in the upgrades do I realize that I haven't gotten all of the information needed to make a good business decision. HELP! :-)
