Last month was my wife’s birthday.
The big 4-0.
With family in Brazil, and friends scattered across the world, I wanted to do something that was enjoyable for her and have a way for those who wanted to, to participate. After an email inviting contributions, I received photos, videos, and very nice words of appreciation for my wife from friends and family across the miles. What did I do with those notes and photos? More in a moment…
The party was around the corner. While creating a video was ideal, I didn’t have the time to invest! What to do?
I turned to a program that I used a few years ago, with all its features not only did it suit my “fast and easy” need for my wife’s party, but I realized this helpful for those who have a lot of photos and videos from seminars and events and want to use video more often in their marketing.
Muvee Reveal Review – Create Edit Marketing Videos Fast and Easy
Shortly after installing it on my Windows PC (Mac users will need a Windows OS emulator like Parallels), the first thing I notice is that there were 3 areas of the interface that commanded much of my attention.

Muvee Reveal User Interface - 3 Clear Areas to Work With
Looks simple enough for the video marketing novice, and for my wife’s birthday video, but I soon learned there were other things it offered.

Rendering Options In Muvee Reveal X

Rendering options screen after choosing to "Save muvee"
One of the things I’ve had challenges with in the past deals with how videos are rendered. So, I was curious what the rendering options would be in Muvee Reveal.
They offer the standard video options (screenshot) as with other programs, like posting to Facebook, YouYube, HD, and portable devices like smartphones, and the iPad/iPhone for iTunes formats.
Not sure why, but video editing programs that offer a useful YouTube button for video rendering don’t always provide the fine tuning settings I look for, so I didn’t test this option when I created my videos.
The advanced options was what I was looking for, and selecting that option opened a window offering other formats, including:
- WMV
- MOV
- MPEG-1
- DV-AVI
- AVI
- MPEG-2
- H.264
- MPEG-4
For most videos I upload to YouTube, I like the .WMV format. Lightweight, and YouTube preserves the quality, for the most part, after optimizing it for their servers.
Ideas on Using this Video Creation Software in Your Marketing
Using this tool for my wife’s party got me thinking. This is an outstanding tool for marketers, who don’t have time to make videos.
After gathering all the photos and videos, traditional video editing takes hours. With Muvee Reveal I find editing and rendering a professional looking 5-7 minute video takes about 30-45 minutes. Your results may vary.
Muvee Reveal is now my goto tool when I want to create professional looking productions FAST. Huge time saver, a great value.
Some top of mind ideas:
- Create a video for a local event you attended, tag attendees, upload to Facebook.
- Create a video of a local event you hosted, share it with all attendees, invite them to share.
- Create a video of a trade show or conference you attended.
- Create a video of a trade show you exhibited at, include photos of booth visitors.
- Have visitor videos for each day of trade show.
- Announce daily winners at the end of the video. Invite them to return to booth to claim prize.
- Create a fun video showing how awesome it is to work with your team or company.
- Host an offline customer only event or party, create and publish a video as a part of your follow up.
- Create a sneak peek video of a new product that is under development.
There are certainly other ideas, be creative, think outside of the box. Great possibilities.
Muvee Reveal is affordable. At less than $100 it is a huge time saver, and at the time of this post they are offering a special link to purchase the product at an additional 10% savings.
What Happened with those Notes & Photos
There was a surprise party for my wife. Several family members even came in from out of town. Her sister came from Brazil. Many who could not attend the party sent in notes and funny stories, some pictures and even a few videos. This was compiled into what ended up being a spiral bound, 35 page booklet!
As there was a lull in the activity at the party, I queued up the video of her through the years. Captivating. The only sound in the room was the video playing, everyone was glued to the TV (even kids!). After, many complimented me on the video. What they didn’t know is how easy it was, and how it freed up time so I could focus on managing the details of the surprise party.
After the video, I presented my wife with a gift. The spiral bound booklet with all those notes and photos sent from around the world.
Not only did I share a link to the “through the years” video via email, I created a separate video of photos and videos of the actual party. Those who weren’t there in person got to share in the party and see her reaction to the 35 page booklet they had a hand in making simply by watching the video. The feedback after sending out the email was heart-warming as people felt more connected, reviving old friendships.
If I didn’t have Muvee Reveal I wouldn’t have had time to create one video, let alone a second for sharing across the miles.

Bottom Line On Muvee Reveal
As outlined above, the software helped to make my wife’s 40th a success, engaging family and old friends from across the miles.
It also got me thinking of how it can be a great marketing tool for events and activities where you end up having photos and maybe a few videos you aren’t sure what to do with.
If you are a believer in video marketing, but have struggled with the “production” side, the time savings I’ve found in this product may just be what you need, it was for me. Details of their special offer available here.
