Review of Adbeat Software – Advertising Dollars Maximized

adbeat reviewPaid advertising still remains the fastest way to determine if an offer converts. Successful affiliate marketers who use paid advertising know this. The peril of an SEO marketer is to find out after months of link building an optimization an offer fails to convert into a lead or sale. Paid advertisers know they need a certain amount of time and money to determine what ads convert, when, and on which networks. Today’s post reviews software that will help traditional advertisers and affiliate marketing advertisers understand what is working, so they can spy on the competition, know what is working, and make ad campaigns profitable, fast. It discusses who it’s for, benefits of the software, a video with the founder and software in action, the problem I had with it, a conclusion, and even includes a couple screenshots.

Review of Adbeat Software – Advertising Dollars Maximized

Not too long ago it was popular for affiliate marketers to send paid traffic to converting affiliate offers for a profit. No website, no blogs, no SEO, just setup a profitable campaign with direct traffic through an affiliate link and viola! This didn’t last as Google made changes which made once profitable campaigns not profitable, or shut down affiliate marketer PPC campaigns (and adwords accounts) altogether. Many dejected affiliates had to alter their business model to stay afloat. One advertising model that has become popular involves affiliate offers through advertising networks.

The Adbeat software helps advertisers (affiliates) and publishers by tabulating data from the top content network platforms on the web, their advertisers, and their ad campaigns.

NOTE: There is a lot to learn when it comes to being a successful “paid traffic” affiliate marketer, in the conclusion of this post follow the link where the founder of Adbeat shares a bit of his story, as well as the special Adbeat + affiliate training package he is offering.

Who Adbeat is For?

Adbeat is designed for anyone who wants to have a better understanding what the marketplace is responding to in the content networks, in the form of winning ads, without spending any money advertising. This is deal for affiliate marketers who want to get traffic to affiliate offers quickly utilizing content networks, such as the Google Display Network (formerly referred to as the content network), AdBrite or others.

Getting Around Adbeat

There are 3 main tabs users should concern themselves with, depending on their needs

Network Tab – Lists the advertisers in the Adbeat database, which it populates by crawling the web for various network data. Users can also keyword search to find ads in the network using searched keyword.

Advertiser Tab – Click the tab, or click and advertiser in the advertiser column to see the dashboard for the advertiser, the networks they are advertising on, the top publishers and ad types.

Publisher Tab – Click the tab, or a publisher domain in the interface (like the advertiser dashboard) to see data related to ads for that publisher domain.

Reports Tab – For storing report information.

Watch List – For storing saved searches, making it easier to get to data you may search for regularly.

It’s worth noting that both the Network and Publisher tabs also have sub-tabs of Top Advertisers and Top Ads which reveal important information, while the Advertiser tab includes those, plus a Dashboard Tab which shows additional at a glance information about the advertiser. Watch the video below to see it in action.

The Benefits of Adbeat

User Interface – Overall I found the interface to be intuitive, and responsive. The tabs are presented in an intuitive flow for those just getting started researching, and it does not overwhelm users with options, which is important when getting started. Get started with Adbeat now

See the Actual Ads Running – This is by far the greatest benefit of the software, seeing ads that are either running, or recently been shut off. Ad copy is huge, this information can provide budding advertisers with information needed to setup a profitable campaign quickly, and at a fraction of the cost competitors have invested to make their campaigns profitable.

See the Top Publishers – This can reveal the sites getting the most traffic for a given niche or market. With a little knowhow and creativity marketers have many options with this type of information.

Number of  Networks Supported – Some marketers don’t want to use larger networks, like Google, Adbeat currently supports 12 other networks besides Google. These include: Yahoo, MSN, Doubleclick, Adsonar, Pulse360, BuySellAds, Chitika, AdBrite, ValueClick, Adhere, TribalFusion, and Technorati. Learn about your markets with Adbeat

My Conversation with Adbeat Founder Mike Colella – See It In Action

Here is a video of a Skype call I had recently with Mike Colella the founder of Adbeat. In this video you’ll hear his recommendations for free tools, as well as seeing his software in action, and details about Mike’s course. Can’t see the video? Find the Adbeat Review Video here.

Summary of Adbeat Interview Video:

  • Affiliate Marketers Using PPC will find Adbeat very helpful.
  • There are a lot of options out there for content networks.

Components of a good campaign:

  • Right offer to promote.
  • Right ad to promote it.
  • Where to place the ad. Which website.

Adbeat does not support search advertising, but banner and contextual ad networks advertising.

Keyword Spy, SpyFu, SEM Rush used for search.

Free tools that newer paid advertising affiliates can use for research:

  • Google AdPlanner (google.com/adplanner)
  • Quantcast (Quantcast.com)

Great for understanding the audience and what websites you might want to purchase ads on.

Demographics such as age and income are useful for understanding a target market. Also, clickstream data from Alexa.com.

  • AdBeat.com is about understanding what is working in the marketplace with advertising for a market or site. What ads are working for an advertiser, where they are advertising, when, what ads are successful.
  • Example shows an advertiser who is turning ads on and off. Possibly cycling ads to keep them fresh before website visitors.

Mike has video training available to walk customers through the system so they can make the most of the data it provides.

There is also specific training about affiliate marketing, covering:

  • Market selection
  • Traffic sources
  • Copywriting
  • Automation and scaling
  • Private forum
  • Adbeat software included

Information about the course available here.

A Problem I Had With Adbeat

For the most part, I found the software to be solid and reliable, after working with it for about 3 weeks (video interview was done just after my account was activated). However, I did notice something that was puzzling.

Unlike the other tabs, I didn’t find the Reports Tab intuitive. When I first went there, I wasn’t sure what to do next, and how it would help me, it was just white!

Eventually, I watched a video in the training area that showed me how to generate a report on a given view by hitting the Excel or PDF icons, and then visiting the Reports tab to download the report once it had completed. Might be picky on this one, but Mike and his team would do well in putting a “more info” balloon or link to the training video somewhere in this view to help users.

Adbeat Review – My Conclusion

Experienced Marketers – You likely know the investment of time and money required to get a campaign profitable. Adbeat is designed to help accelerate that process by giving you immediate insight to profitable campaigns competitors are running right now. If you are using it for affiliate marketing this could make a difference in the short-term success of your campaign. See monthly pricing options and register for Adbeat here.

Newer Marketers – If you are someone who is considering marketing using one or more of the various content networks out there, Adbeat is a great solution. You can get a jump on the competition and avoid spending big bucks figuring out what converts, on which sites, when. This is especially true for those interested in driving traffic to affiliate offers.

However, you’d do well to learn more from Mike. Near the top of this post, I mentioned he has a story and an offer. Mike informed me that he developed the Adbeat software after becoming a successful affiliate marketer himself driving paid traffic through content networks.

His approach to success is part of the reason an Adbeat Review exists here!

Per the video above, he has posted a webinar, it requires no money or optin, and is suitable if you are an aspiring marketing looking to invest in continuing education. His course, which I’ve looked at briefly, includes the Adbeat software and is designed to get affiliate marketers profitable fast. See the Adbeat webinar here.

Very thorough review. I’m thinking the ad copy part is a huge benefit to this service. Thanks Travis.

To be honest, I struggled with the length of the post (part of the reason there is a text summary of the video), as there are many benefits to this service, one of which is ad copy reconnaissance. Thanks for taking time to chime in.
