Google Visualizes Search for 2010

As 2010 slips into the past, and 2011 emerges, it can be useful to reflect on what has gone on in the last 12 months. Earlier this month Google released it’s updated Zeitgeist page which highlights the top 10 search trends in 2010 over 12 categories.  They also include a video of the search year in review, which is classic Google, and cleverly alludes to buzz around their own products for 2010.

For me, some of these events seemed to have happened years ago.  I’ve included the video below, see if you can detect the subtleties of Google products that released for 2010 (like this one and others).

    Classic Google is right! Not to mention all the product placements — unreal. What concerns me in 2011 and beyond Travis is the buzz I’m hearing about big “G” beginning to skew toward established domains in their search results. Mine is 4 years old, but I’m still concerned I might lose the rankings I have worked my tail off for to sites like Wikipedia and eHow. We’ll see how it plays out …

    ok…top searches are about the economic political crisis,not very good.Very interesting video and a good way to find free domains with “top searched keywords”.
