To my knowledge to date there is no way to add videos to your Google Profile. However, they are making lots of changes, so I could be wrong (some profiles having limited release updates…to support video?).

Hi Travis,

Thanks for the great tips. I'm trying to add video clips to my Google profile so that they will come up in the same window where the photos appear. I have two pics now but added the Youtube link but it only shows as a web link, not in the "photo & videos" tab. Any ideas? If you search GoogleMaps for "realtor 92688" I show up in the second spot. Click the photo to open the profile window over the map.

Great tip! I have seen a fair amount of traffic via the profile, hopefully that will continue.

BTW, I was in Dublin to kick off a bike tour through Ireland. I found to be one of the most hospitable countries in all of Europe.

Just a quick tip on your Google profile if you are based outside of the US – the verification of your Google profile is not yet available.

However I still recommend that you update your Google profile.

Thanks for your input, glad it was helpful. The importance of these profiles should be sizable as Google builds out it’s other properties like YouTube, etc.

Your profile page is looking great, come back and post the actual link so others can see it too :-)

What a wonderfully informative, Travis — very useful! Hey – did you see the news today that now in order to set up a YouTube account, you must also set up a gmail account? More steps being taken in the direction of its own social network.

In fact, with this latest change, TechCrunch made the observation: “Google is set on the video end for its social network that is coming together.” Looks like there’s even more reason than ever to have a strong YouTube presence as part of one’s overall social networking strategy. (But then again, I’m sorta bias.) ;-)

Thanks again for the great tips. Looks like I have some work to do on my Google profile.
