Wow, didn’t realize that difference with google and facebook.

If you are referring to circles…(?). You aren’t alone, takes a while to get your head around the possibilities they bring. Likely be sharing more on that functionality going forward.

Holy cow, does google own that many sites and service?

Hard for even someone like me to keep up with them. Brings home the magnitude of possibilities with Google+. They have their work cut out for them.

In my personal life, I am a regular user of a couple of journaling sites which allow me to post with a circles function — and it’s the thing I love best about them. I decide which group of people gets to see which content. If Google+ can do that, it just might eat Facebook’s lunch (or force Facebook to change).

Interesting Tracie. Sounds like you’ve been *pretrained* to make use of Google+ quickly.

Perhaps, yet I’m also so deluged with the Latest Shiny Social Networking Thing that I haven’t even looked at Google+ yet. I don’t really have time to learn another new platform right now. And on that note — I have to get back to the commission on my easel. :-)

Your personal discipline is only superceeded by the caliber of your artwork! :-) Have a great weekend.

Oh, thank you. I’m working from the Tiny Apartment Studio today (since the space I rent is sweltering right now) and there is about 36″ space between easel and Macintosh. This is both a good thing, and not.

Facebook actually has it’s own “Circles” feature – I’ve been using it for years. It’s called Friend Lists and it works in much the same way. The only problem is, it’s not easily found or managed.

Google+ realized this and took advantage. I’m a big fan of the concept of Friend Lists/Circles and it’s nice to see Google making it a main feature. And it’s always great to have an Epipheo to promote it with :)

P.S. Travis, I like the new site design – it looks great!

The idea that because I use Google for search and email means I will eventually use G+ is preposterous.

How long will it be until Facebook has something similar to circles? Not long I bet.

Google plus right now is living on a “high”. It’s a new gadget and we all know that the gadget geeks love new gadgets regardless of what they do.

I’m no fan boy for Google or Facebook.  They are a means to connect to others.  I don’t feel a need to convince anyone to use one or the other or both. When the people who I want to connect with are on Google plus then you will see me on there. One thing is for certain, I will not be double posting to Facebook and G+.

Travis – can you confirm that it’s not possible to add a Google+ button to an HTML newsletter (because it requires JavaScript)?
